Collection: PAPER COLLAGE
MEDIOCRE HEADACHES
Mediocre Headaches is an analogue paper collage collection -it's a blend of hand-on grit and digital remix.
The title speaks to a specific state of mind, about the in-between: the small discomforts, the quiet chaos, the beautifully flawed parts of life that often go unnoticed.
This work explores an imperfect reality, but does so with a magical and optimistic perspective.
Built from layering both analogue paper cutouts and original film photography shot on 35mm film. I create visual narratives that embrace contradiction- where the mundane meets the surreal- and tension gives room to wonder.
Mediocre Headaches is not about suffering, but about the subtle dissonance that comes along with being alive- and the joy of transforming that into something strange, hopeful and new.
I work with recycled materials - postcards, found paper, vintage ephemera - and give them new shape. Some stay true-to-size, others are digitally enlarged into bold, large-scale prints, and sometimes sealing fragments into resin and creating accessories like one-of-a-kind pinback buttons.
Past meets present. Sharp edges, soft nostalgia.
